We'll probably end up doing the Chicago Marathon one day regardless of what else we do but a good local trail race where we could fly in and out of St. Louis would be cool.

I've know for a few years now that as a masters athlete I should be lifting year-around but I've just never done it until this last year when I decided that if I didn't do something different I'd probably never see Boston again. You are right about the trainer if you are going to do Olympic lifting. You need someone who actually knows how to coach it because it's real easy to end up hurt. However, just doing lunges will be helpful and that's something that can be learned on youtube.S. The thing that really keeps me coming back to mine is having the memories to look back on later.

You do some really cool stuff. I'm so intrigued by the progress you attribute to your Olympic lifting program. Well, that and your training, of course, but it makes me wonder what a difference it could make for me. I need to get to a point where I can afford at least an occasional trainer, though, because I get nervous about form and hurting myself. Plus, I could stand to just do some more regular training. :)

My ears perked up when you said Missouri since I'm right next door in IL, but the Branson area is about 5 hours from me. If you and Misty ever end up in the St. Louis area let me know. I'd love to say hi!Kate Geisenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11854561265520868538noreply@blogger.com
